Greatest little coffee maker I’ve every owned.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this coffee maker because I am the only one in my house who drinks coffee and because I was spending $2.34 at Dunkin Donuts every morning during the week, and running out on Saturday and Sunday (or my husband would go out) for a big cup, AND, because going to Dunkin Donuts on some days, the temptation was impossible to get a mufin or something I shouldn’t eat. In one pot (makes 5 6oz cups), I can make exactly what I need (which, after some experimenting, takes 4 cups of water and 4 tablespoons of coffee to fill my 24 oz travel mug (made by Copco if anyone’s interested, since they’re so hard to find) leaving enough room for my milk). The machine has a clock, an auto set timer, and goes off automatically after 2 hours. It also has a permanent filter which is really easy to clean. I rinse out the coffee grinds, wash it with soap and water, and let it drip dry. Cleaning the parts takes less than 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend it. As said above, it saves money, diet and also saves time in the morning, since the coffee is already brewed when I am ready to go, and all I need to do is pour it in the mug, add splenda and milk, and I’m on my way – WAY better than waiting in line at Dunkin Donuts!

2-mug coffee maker

We love the coffee maker at work, especially because it turns off by itself, a problem we had with the previous coffee maker. It makes just two mugs.. Would buy again

Put your cup of coffee in the microwave…

Great machine for people who don’t drink much coffee, and don’t want to hassle with paper filters. Easy to clean up. The programming function is simple and easy to learn and set.
Even if the machine is unplugged, it takes only a few seconds to reprogram it.
Regarding the comment about the coffee not being hot enough. Well, for only a few cups of coffee, keeping it too hot will evaporate the coffee away too quickly, so they set it low on purpose. Easy remedy- when you pour yourself a cup, put it in the microwave and heat it up more for a minute, then you’re set!

Does a good job as advertised. Though billed as a 5 cup maker, realistically makes 2 full coffee mugs of freshly brewed coffee with a little left over for a warm-up.
For people who complain of leakage or dribbling, you must raise the lid with your thumb when pouring. If the liquid touches the lid, any coffee maker pot will leak. This is especially true when refilling the reservoir because we all tend to just dump the water in. Take this simple step and the frustration disappears.

Dont buy

As MANY other reviews across the Internet point out, it drips like crazy when pouring. I have had small coffeemakers before and not had this problem. I tired to adapt by pouring slowly, but just couldn’t pour slowly enough on a regular basis. Also, the coffee warmer is not adequate, coffee gets tepid. Black&Decker does not acknowledge the problem. A black-eye for them.

After twenty-six days, which equals twenty-six little pots of coffee, the heating element stopped working.

You get what you pay for
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
This coffee maker is great as far as size is concerned, as there is only one person in our home that drinks coffee. You can get at least large 2 mugs of coffee. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. The coffee pot is very leaky and makes a mess on the counter. We have been unable to find paper filters that fit. The worst part is, it brews very bitter and unflavorful coffee, regardless of whether you use the best quality coffee or not.
This was a waste of money as after a few weeks of having this item, we have now ordered the 5 cup Zojirushi Zutto which brews great coffee, thanks to the cone filter and high quality construction.

Just Right Size

Haven’t had much luck with Mister Coffees lately, thermal fuses not holding up in several models. Tried this one for it’s 1 cup bigger size and I’m very satisfied so far. Yes, you have to pour it very slowly when full. Resevior holds all the water the carafe holds, unlike Mr. C. It does have a loud clicking when cycling the warming plate on and off. The washable filter and measuring spoon was a surprise. So it’s just a matter of durabilty now. The blister buttons might be the first to go. Clock is not gaining time like Mr. C.

Love the timer option. Coffee maker is simple to use. Tiny so it doesn’t take up too much counter space. Love it!
